The presentation is to be 10 minutes long. Seeing as their is 5 of us we thought it might be best to divide workloads. To do this we needed to research more about how modern art has influenced design.
We found that modern arts influence is not exclusive to any one movement within, but rather builds on them and even combines some. With this in mind we thought it’d be a good idea to divide ourselves into movements within modern art and from there we could talk about how some of these major movements influenced design and hopefully encompass the concept of modern art from within itself.
So those who had a previous interest in modern art jumped at the chance to pick their own movement, others didn’t mind. In the end we ended up settling on the following movements for ourselves:
Abigail Graham - Futurism
Christopher Rodgers - Cubism
Declan Cox (me!) - Constructivism
Eva Hamilton - Pop Art
Marlow McAuley - Dadaism
We agreed to begin by first researching our movements in our own free time and then meeting up later to discuss our findings and begin planning our presentation design and format.
