We decided first to conduct a survey to find out if this is a relevant issue to pursue. In doing so we would be able to identify the key pain points of Belfasts Public Transport. We wrote up a survey and planned to post it on our social media profiles for our friends and family to complete. However we knew this data wasn’t enough and that our circles would create a bias in the demographic of those that answered. We decided to post the survey on r/northernireland to help fill this gap of those from a different background to ourselves. As well as this we also posted the survey on LinkedIn. You can view this survey below.
To our surprise we received over 100+ responses! This was fantastic news as it means that our research will be much more accurate in representing the population of Belfast. By posting the survey on reddit it allowed us to receive responses from people of all backgrounds, we even garnered quite a lot of responses from those aged 55+.
